How would the pandemic have progressed in Austria if some decisions had been made differently – and above all, what can we do better in the future?
The project “BETTER – Being Equipped To Tackle Epidemics Right”, funded by the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF), is dedicated to answering these questions. The project involves the Medical University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology and the University for Continuing Education Krems.
To answer these questions, the project involves interviewing individuals about their views, including their personal and/or professional perspectives. Furthermore, hypothetical scenarios with different pandemic measures or measures at different times are modelled. In combination with international evaluations and further developments, BETTER aims to help us learn from the pandemic in the best possible way.
